Origin: 1672

f. 123: śubhastu saṃvat 1728 (=A. D. 1672) āṣāḍhasudī trodaśyayaṃ ravivāra śubhaṃ | yat dṛṣṭā likhitaṃ mayā bhramadoṣaṃ kṣama prabho | This is probably the date of the old part or of the exemplar. The new part belongs to the end of the 18th century.

A former owner was Viṣṇubhaṭṭa, ff. 1, 124v: Māghakāvyapustakam idaṃ śrīmadviṣṇubhaṭṭānāṃ | He must have been the owner from whom Mill obtained it.

Provenance and Acquisition

The collections of William Hodge Mill were purchased by the Bodleian Library in 1849 and 1858.
