Devanāgarī in black ink.

all 59 seems to be by one hand except ff. 12–15, 146–180. Ff. 1–118 of 60 seem to be by another hand. Ff. 12–15 of 59 are quite new, but ff. 159, 160 (śodhapattras) are fairly old. The oldest hand is probably to be assigned to the beginning of the 18th cent.

The scribe of 60, ff. 119 sq., is given on

(1) f. 151: Ayācitopākhyaraghunāthasunurāmacaṃdreṇa navamādhyāyaśeṣo ’lekhi | That is, the ninth adhyāya from f. 33 in the original foliation onwards.

(2) f. 221v; Ayācitopākhyaraghunāthaº likhitam idaṃ svārthaṃ parāthaṃ ca | So f. 269v.

On f. 146 of 59 an owner is mentioned: Vidyādharanī pothī |

(3) f. 269v: saṃvat 89 ⟨1733⟩ Pauṣe māsi kṛṣnapakṣe ṣaṣṭhyāṃ ravivāre |

Provenance and Acquisition

The collections of William Hodge Mill were purchased by the Bodleian Library in 1849 and 1858.
