History

Origin: A. D. 1050.

Dr. Hoernle reads it as saṃvat 170 ⟨1050⟩. Tt is also given as the 8th year of some prince, whose name is unfortunately obliterated, only the following being legible: varājye samvatsare aṣṭame śrīmaduddaṇḍapu | Possibly this may be Pradyumna Kāmadeva (see Bendall, Buddh. Sansk. MSS., p. xi).
