Foliation: Library foliation in Arabic numerals in pencil, top-right margin, recto.

In good condition, text incomplete.

8 or 9 lines on the page.

2 string holes per page.

Hand(s)

Grantha script.

Binding

Held together by two plain wooden boards with two string holes. On the upper board is a library note in pencil which reads: ‘Not Tamil. Sanskrit. Grantha character.’ Paper label with handwritten shelfmark on the back board.

New string kept loosely in the storage box.

Stored in a red textile-covered cardboard library box with golden-tooled title and shelfmark on the spine.

History

Origin: Not dated.

According to Winternitz and Keith, the MS is: ‘apparently modern, probably 18th century.’
