Incipit: arhaṃ ǁ śrīpārśvanāthāya namaḥ ǁ atra kāvyaṃ kila rasavad upādeyaṃ ratyāḥ śṛgārādayaḥ | yato naganagarasaritsāgarattu-caṃdrārkodayodyānajvalakelimadhupā nasuratamaṃtra-dyūtaprayāṇāddūtavijināyakābhyudayavivādavipralaṃ-bhakumāravarṇṇanair vispaṣṭair amībhir aṣṭādaśabhir lakṣaṇair lakṣitaṃ mahākāvyam ucyate iha yathāpy eteṣāṃ lakṣaṇānām abhāvas tathāpi mahākavi | śrīkālidāsaviracanād idam api mahākāvyam ucyate kaścit anirdiṣṭanāmā yakṣo Rāmagiryāśrameṣu vasatiṃ cakre nivāsaṃ akarṣyīta Rāmo manojño giriḥ | &c.
