Extent: iii + 124 + i. In the original foliation ff. 2–78 correspond to the present ff. 2–77, as f. 2 is left unmarked in the new reckoning. After f. 78 the original foliation is confused, the numbers running 78, 80 to 88, then five more with uncertain numbers, then 89 to 119.
Dimensions (binding): 23.5 × 13.0 cm.
Condition
half of f. 2 is missing.
Hand(s)
ff. 1–42v are in Devanāgarī, with very slight Kaśmīrī traces, the rest in Kaśmīrī Nāgarī.
History
Origin: A. D. 1757.
f. 124: saṃvat 18 | 13 | 4 tithau likhyatāṃ ādityavāre | Probably this is saṃvat 1813 ⟨1757⟩, but it may be read saṃvat 18 113 14 tithau | and taken as a Kaśmīr date, i. e. a. d. (17)43.
Provenance and Acquisition
Bought in 1887 from Dr. Eugen Hultzsch (MS. 333). Memorandum on original wrapper (f. ii), ‘K 20,’ i. e. Kaśmīr.
