History

Origin: A. D. 1744.

śake 1666 ⟨1744⟩ kṣayanāmasaṃvatsare kārttikamāse adya tithau caturthī bhaumyavāsare taddine likhitaṃ | But kṣaya, according to the south cycle, was 1646–1647, by the north 1636–1637;. so that there is some mistake. The reading is quite certain.

Provenance and Acquisition

Gopāla, Kṛṣṇa’s son, and Gaṅgādhabhaṭṭa, son of Gopālabhaṭṭa, are mentioned as owners of the book on ff. 47 and 48v.

Bought in 1887 from Dr. Eugen Hultzsch (MS. 2).
