History

Origin: 16th cent.?

the MS. appears to be old, perhaps 16th cent. Character: Devanāgarī.

Provenance and Acquisition

Bought in 1887 from Dr. Eugen Hultzsch (MS. 191). An entry in Dr. Hultzsch’s hand on the first page says: ‘Geschenk von Vindhyeśvarîprasâd. Benares, 31 Dec. 84,’ On f. ii ‘Benares no. 2.’
