6 lines on a folio.

Hand(s)

Śaradā script in black ink. Daṇḍas and occassional akṣaras in red ink. Corrections in yellow paste.

Additions: Occassional marginal notes in a different hand.

Abbreviated marginal title above the original foliation, bottom-left corner of the margin, verso.

Binding

Early 20th-century red textile binding over pasteboard, with shelfmark and description tooled in gold on the spine. The original paper wrapper with manuscript notes in pen bound as front end leaves. Kept in a cardboard library box.

History

Origin: 17th or 18th cent.?

Provenance and Acquisition

Bought in 1887 from Dr. Eugen Hultzsch.

Manuscript memorandum on original wrapper (f. ii) in red and black ink: ‘No. 81. K 26. Chaṇikya. ’
